As a convert to the LDS Church I was married in the Temple and was discouraged from having any kind of other ceremony so my non member family could share in my special day. Because of my decision to be married in the temple my family was forced to wait outside and my parents never saw me married. I spent my entire sealing crying and missing my parents and family. I had NO family to share this most important ceremony with…After 17 years of marriage my biggest regret is not having a civil wedding and enjoying this day with all our loved ones. My father has passed away and I will never be able to fix this.
